At this stage with the massive amount of confirmation on twitter and Facebook its seems the tracking issue is global. For those unaware, for the last few days the Pokemon tracking system has been showing nothing but 3 footprints no matter how close or far you are to the spawn point.
There is currently no official statement about this fault nor an eta for a patch.
